2019 CrossFit Games Sanctioned Event Schedule

For the 2019 CrossFit Games season, there will be 15 events taking place that are being called Sanctionals. These are sanctioned CrossFit competitions that are taking place in multiple countries across the globe. In the 2019 CrossFit Games Rulebook, CrossFit, Inc. states that the Santional events are not connected to the CrossFit Games, although, the male, female, and teams that win the elite division will receive an invite to the Games.

In the Rulebook CrossFit, Inc. writes, “Sanctionals are not part of the CrossFit Games season, but winners from the Sanctionals (from the elite or Rx’d division equivalents) will earn an invitation to compete at the Games. Each Sanctionals competition will send one man, one woman and one team* to the Games.”

It’s also worth noting that athletes who receive a CrossFit Games invitation from a Sanctional event win do not necessarily need to compete in the Open to make it to the Games. Additionally, athletes that place high enough in the Open to receive a bid to the Games, and athletes who are deemed National Champion for their country, will receive no additional benefit (in respects to the Games seeding directly) with a win at a Sanctional event.

In the Rulebook CrossFit, Inc. writes,“Should the winner of a Sanctionals competition qualify for or receive an invitation to the Games by another means, the second-place athlete/ team from that Sanctionals competition will receive the invitation to compete at the Games. This backfill process will continue if the second-place athlete/team has already qualified, received an invitation, and so on.”

Welcome to the 2019 Reebok CrossFit Games season.

The CrossFit Games Open is a massive competition with hundreds of thousands of athletes from across the globe, and yet the leaderboard rankings we often care about most are between ourselves and our closest friends. That’s where the custom leaderboard comes in. It lets you build a leaderboard with any man, woman and teenager from the Open—in any combination. With the custom leaderboard, you can easily keep track of where you stand relative to your friends.

Build your custom leaderboard by typing in each of your friends’ names, and adding them individually to your leaderboard.

Or—if most of your friends come from your affiliate—save time by looking up your affiliate’s name and adding the affiliate’s roster. You can choose to add the entire affiliate, or limit it to, say, women between the ages of 28 and 32.

You can find strangers who are similar to you by using hashtags. Find other people who are in the same profession (#firefighter) or who are in a similar phase of life (#mom). You can self-identify with hashtags using the Hashtag Wizard or enter your own on your Competition Dashboard.

When you’re done building, click “Save and View.” You can come back and edit at anytime.

Your custom leaderboard will rank all of the athletes relative to each other based on their scores on the Open workouts.

Please note that we will find the intersection of the hashtags, affiliates, gender, and age that you enter. This means that if you enter #mom #firefighter, we will find the firefighter moms. If you also added ages 28 – 32, then we will find firefighter moms between 28 – 32. If you also added affiliates, we will find all of the firefighter moms at those affiliates.

By adding a person by name (ex. Richard Froning Jr.), you will always have that person included on your custom leaderboard. We start each custom leaderboard with you included by default.

Share your custom leaderboard with your friends so they can follow along.

To start building, sign up for the Open.

Kane can catch Adam Oates (1992-93 season) for the second longest assist streak on Wednesday. Wayne Gretzky holds the record at 23 during the 1990-91 campaign.

The Blackhawks can move into the second wild-card spot in the Western Conference with a win and a home loss by the Avalanche to the Jets.

Juventus vs. Atletico Madrid and Manchester City vs. Schalke 2019, UEFA Champions League Football Live Streaming tv

The UEFA Champions League round of 16 continues Wednesday when Atletico Madrid hosts Juventus and Sergio Aguero and Manchester City travels to Germany to face Schalke. Both games are set to kick off at 3 p.m. ET. Oddsmakers list Juventus at +180 odds to win (risk $100 to win $180), while Atletico Madrid is also going off at +180. The draw is +195, and the over-under for total goals scored is 2. Meanwhile, Manchester City is a massive money line favorite at -375 (risk $375 to win $100), while the over-under is 3. Before you make any Champions League round of 16 picks, you need to see what European football expert David Sumpter has to say.

Sumpter is an applied mathematician and author of “Soccermatics,” a book that explains how math works inside the sport. Along with other experienced analysts, Sumpter developed the powerful Soccerbot model.

The Soccerbot reads current odds and all team performance data, calculates key metrics and predicts upcoming matches. In the three seasons since its inception, Soccerbot is up an incredible 2,000 percent on Premier League picks. That’s right — 2,000 percent!

And the model is off to a blistering start in the Champions League round of 16. It made some huge calls last week, which included Paris Saint-Germain (+205) over Manchester United, AS Roma (-100) over FC Porto, Tottenham (+110) over Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid (-120) over Ajax. Anyone who has followed it is up big.

Now, Sumpter has set his sights on Wednesday’s round of 16 matches. We can tell you the model is leaning toward the over in Atletico Madrid vs. Juventus, but its much stronger play is on the money line, saying one side has all the value. You absolutely need to see it before locking in any picks.

The model is well aware that Juventus features one of the most potent attacks in all of Europe. Juventus’ attack is led by Cristiano Ronaldo, who has 19 goals and eight assists in 24 Serie A appearances this season. However, it’s been Paulo Dybala who has been unstoppable for Juventus in this competition, scoring six goals in his past seven Champions League games.

Plus, Juventus has won four of its past five away games in the knockout stages of the Champions League.

But just because Juventus has been unbeatable away from home in the Champions League doesn’t mean it will earn a victory against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday.

Atletico is unbeaten in its past 12 home games in the Champions League knockout stages. And it has never lost to an Italian side in the Champions League under manager Diego Simeone. Atletico Madrid also features an explosive offense that is led by Antoine Griezmann, who’s been directly involved in six of Atletico’s nine Champions League goals this season.
