19.4 CrossFit Open Workout is being announced from Canada, The Netherlands, Italy and Brazil, where EZ Muhammed and Gui Malheiros will go head to head against each other.

“Morning real talk. One of the hardest parts of being an athlete is accepting that you did not rise to the occasion. I’ve analyzed my mental and physical performance on 19.2 and I can’t quite make sense of it. Why couldn’t I finish this workout? Mentally, I was nervous, but confident – I firmly believed I could handle this workout. I’m probably having so much trouble with it because the answer I keep arriving at is ‘maybe you were not fit enough for this specific test’ – for the result I wanted.

If that’s the case, it’s going to be a difficult reality to accept. Our mind wants to rationalize things, but there’s a dangerous line between rationalizing/understanding and excuses. I have to be accountable to myself, and that requires honest reflection, so I can grow from disappointments.

I’ll be putting this on the back burner until after the Open, though – because there’s 3 more long, varied weeks to prove to myself that I am fit enough. There’s no room for doubt.”

XXIX Winter Universiade 2019 in Krasnoyarsk

The youth version of the Olympics, the World Sport Games, or simply the Universiade has been the second global and representative international event in the world’s sports arena for more than 50 years.

The Universiade is the international sports competitions among students, holding under the aegis of the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The name “Universiade” comes from the words “University” and “Olympics”. Student competitions are held every two years, unlike the four-year Olympic events. Students from the age of 17 to 25 years and graduates who have received an academic degree or a diploma in the year preceding the competition are allowed to participate in competitions. The program of the Universiade includes compulsory (the list is approved by FISU prior to the start of the bidding campaign) and optional (additional) sports that the host country determines, provided that they meet all the requirements of the International University Sports Federation.
The International University Sports Federation currently approved the following capitals of the Winter Games – Almaty (Kazakhstan) – 2017, Krasnoyarsk (Russia) – 2019. The history of the 29th Winter Universiade-2019 in Krasnoyarsk began in 2012. On January 9, the President of Russia signed an instruction to the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation on the realization of particular measures to prepare Krasnoyarsk for participation in the bidding campaign.

On November 9, 2013 in Brussels, the FISU Executive Committee decided to hold the Winter Universiade 2019 in Krasnoyarsk. The 29th Winter Universiade 2019 will take place in Krasnoyarsk from 2 to 12 March, 2019. Athletes will compete 76 sets of awards in 11 sports: alpine skiing, bandy, biathlon, cross-country skiing, curling, figure skating, freestyle skiing, ice hockey, short track, ski orienteering, snowboarding.

The corporate style was worked out specially for the 29th Winter Universiade Krasnoyarsk 2019. The logo of the Winter Universiade 2019, the official mascot of the competitions U-Laika, slogans “Real Winter”, “Welcome to Winter”, “100% Winter”, as well as the name “Winter Universiade Krasnoyarsk 2019” and names derived from it, the original graphics and color layout in decoration of the Games are the elements of the registered trade mark. 12 Hours of Sebring

12 Hours of Sebring
13th – 17th March 2019

The 66th Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring Presented by Advance Auto Parts was an endurance sports car racing event held at Sebring International Raceway near Sebring, Florida from 15–17 March 2018.

In March each year thousands of race fans descend on the historic town of Sebring in Florida for the annual 12 hours race. 2019 sees the 67th running of the great American endurance classic – and it’s a race like no other on the global calendar – run on a dedicated circuit originally forged from the runways and taxiways a WWII Bomber training base it’s regarded by many as the most gruelling of the endurance classics, more so indeed than the 24 Hour races that run for twice as long. 2019 is a special year at Sebring as not only will it see the 12 Hours of Sebring (part of the WeatherTech Sports Car Championship series) but it will also see a round of the FIA World Endurance Championship. This will be a unique weekend with an endurance racing double-header all taking place on the Sebring International Raceway.

Sound, speed and fury is what its all about at Sebring – the wide open spaces and a mix of super fast and tricky slow corners mean that there is going to be fireworks right from the off – The barnstorming run into Sebring’s daunting blind Turn One is one where watchers and drivers hold their breath and see what comes out the other side. For those racing fans that bemoan the lack of aural delights nowadays there’s nothing to fear at Sebring – pancake flat the sound, and plenty of it, is a big part of the attraction – rumbling V8s, screaming V12s – do bring earplugs – it’s great to hear it but remember this race does run for 12 Hours!

The Sebring paddock is legendary for its friendly ‘For The Fans’ Approach – the cars are right there and the teams are (usually) happy to have fans watch them prepare for the race. The drivers are always around too – it’s a way more friendly and accessible venue than some of the European tracks – and even if you don’t manage to see your favourites in the run up to the race they’ll all be at the autograph session – leave space in your case for a selection of signed posters, postcards and the like – There’s going to be plenty of them!

Beyond the paddock there’s plenty to see and do at the circuit – The infamous Party Zone features a ‘World famous’ bikini contest, an Iron Man Challenge and live music – There are funfairs too plus manufacturer exhibitions and demos, the Car Club Corrals and exhibitions of historic race cars – Don’t forget the people watching either – the infamous ‘Cow Parade’ and the unique home built Sebring fan stands – You will not be short of things to fill the time.
